The Mandala Pan Group, is a group where everyone plays the same instrument – the Mandala Pan. This is a facilitator led, gentle, quiet, powerful sound based meditation and reflection exercise.
The Mandala Pans have been specially made and toned for Sonatorium Sound Meditation, a small group sound-based self-awareness experience. These beautiful warm toned Mandala Pans, sound like soft bells and are naturally harmonious, we play and reflect to align our inner and outer experience.

FAQs
I haven’t got a clue what you are on about – can I come anyway?
Yes, but be aware that this isn’t a talking therapy, and it’s not tank drum club (we use specially made Mandala Pans), it’s a sound experience that aims to develop a sense of trust in one’s own experience.
I want to come but I can’t play anything, is this for me?
Yes, all the Mandala Pans sound lovely, together or alone, and in what ever order you play them.
Will you teach me how to play the Mandala Pan?
No, they are there for you to learn to trust yourself, we won’t be “playing” in that way.
Great I love expressing myself, fully experiencing a feeling and bashing it out on the Mandala Pan sounds great!
No! It’s not that type of expression! Fully experiencing is a simple term for noticing and sitting with experience. The catharsis in this Sonatorium is very subtle, deep, and powerful we don’t want to loose the energy by “letting off steam” we are trying to use the energy to fuel our journey through.
Will I need to learn to play a part in a tune or song?
No we are not particularly interested in the melody, or rhythm, just the rising and falling of our awareness, experience and expression. “Tunes” may arise that’s lovely to hear, but we are not striving to make them, or perform, or to please, or complement or support others. We may, and I often do find myself with particularly pleasing sequences, it great to enjoy these, but as with notice disconnecting from our internal dialogue we pause and re-engage in the sound work.
Do I have to have my own Mandala Pan? Can I bring my own?
No, and no, all the Mandalapans have been made to a particular specification for this work.
Can I buy a Mandala Pan from you?
I only have the five Sonatorium Mandala Pan, but I can arrange for you to use the same maker if you like.
Will there be a sharing circle?
No, we do not talk much after the session to allow the work to continue processing.
Can I share with you?
YES! I enjoy listening, and supporting integration, but there is no need to use linguistics frames to order your experience.
