This workshop is for small groups or individuals. The Sonatorium uses the simple non-verbal music around us, the drones of simple  instruments, or the natural drones of our daily lives, to connect us  with and remember our own natural voice.

N.B this is a voice/sound workshop not a singing workshop.

FAQs

Do I have to make sounds?

This session is designed to evoke your natural voice, but there’s no minimum or maximum requirement for how to experience this.

Besides vocal work, what else does the session include?

I use a range of instruments that are designed to evoke the natural voice within us and will be directing the session using these.

Why is this not a singing workshop? I have a great singing voice!

Singing songs is a very different experience to finding your natural voice. Whilst any kind of vocal involvement is encouraged, the aim is to connect with our own natural sounds and voice. This is more directed at sounds and voices that arise based on the music produced during the session.

Will I have a chance to talk about my experience?

We do not talk much after the session to allow the work to continue processing. However I am always open to sharing and integration if you’d like to incorporate that into the session. Please let me know beforehand.

Can I share with you?

YES! I enjoy listening, and supporting integration, but there is no need to use linguistics frames to order your experience.
